PRIVACY POLICY OF THE THAI LAWYER SERVICE
Edition of [DD.MM.YYYY]
Published at: [https://DOMAIN/en/privacy]
1. General
1.1. Thai Lawyer (the "Service") is an information service about the law of the Kingdom of Thailand. It is meant for people who are in Thailand, or who own or plan to own property, run a business, hold a visa, or have family or other legal matters in Thailand. The Service is not intended for, and not directed at, people located in the Russian Federation or in any other country; it does not offer them services and does not monitor their behaviour. The Russian and English interfaces exist only for the convenience of people living in, or dealing with, Thailand.
1.2. This Policy explains what personal data the Service collects, why, how long it is kept and what rights you have. It is written under the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019) of Thailand ("PDPA").
1.3. The data controller (the "Operator"):
- Thai Law;
- e-mail for personal data matters: yourlawer.thai@gmail.com.
1.4. By using the Service you confirm that you are at least 20 years old (or have your legal guardian's consent), that you are in Thailand or are asking about Thai law, and that you have read this Policy.

2.1. We do not ask for data the Service can work without, and we do not ask for sensitive data. Please do not enter passport or card numbers, or details of health, religion, political views or criminal record, unless your question needs them. If you upload such details yourself, you give your explicit consent to their processing.
2.2. In guest mode your Cases stay in your browser; only the text of a question needed to produce the answer is sent to us.
3. Why and on what basis
| Purpose | PDPA basis |
|---|---|
| Sign-in, account, storing Cases | performance of a contract (the User agreement) |
| AI answers, document analysis, calculators | performance of a contract; your consent for uploaded documents |
| Deadline reminders (visa, 90 days, lease) | your consent |
| Paid tariffs and payments | performance of a contract; legal obligation |
| Requests to the site's lawyer | your consent; handling your request |
| Mailings | separate consent that you can withdraw |
| Security, abuse prevention, usage limits | the Operator's legitimate interest |
| Keeping the record of your consents | legal obligation, legitimate interest |
3.1. Consent is given with a separate checkbox (unticked by default) and can be withdrawn as easily as it was given (section 8).
4. Who receives your data
4.1. We do not sell data. We use providers that process data on our behalf (data processors) under contracts that oblige them to protect it:
- Supabase — database and account sign-in; servers in Singapore;
- Anthropic (USA) — the AI model that writes the answers; it receives the text of your question, the relevant parts of the Case and documents you upload;
- hosting provider (Render, Singapore) — running the website;
- e-mail service — sign-in codes and messages;
- payment service [name] — taking payments;
- Telegram — if you subscribe to the channel or write to the lawyer there yourself.
4.2. Data may leave Thailand (Singapore, USA). We do this only with your consent (by consenting to processing you also consent to this transfer) and provided the recipient must protect the data at a standard no lower than the PDPA.
4.3. We disclose data to Thai authorities only when the law requires it.
4.4. Data is not transferred to the Russian Federation and is not processed on servers in Russia.
5. How long we keep data
| Data | Period |
|---|---|
| Account, Profile, Cases | while the account exists; after deletion they are erased, and remnants in backups for up to 90 days |
| Guest mode | only in your browser until you clear the site data |
| Payment records | as long as the law requires (usually 5–7 years) |
| Consent records | while the account exists and 3 more years as evidence |
| Technical logs | up to 12 months |
| Requests to the lawyer | up to 3 years after the matter is closed |
6. Cookies and browser storage
6.1. See the Cookie policy. We use only necessary technologies (sign-in, guest Cases, language). There are no analytics or advertising cookies.
7. How we protect data
7.1. Encryption in transit (HTTPS), row-level access control in the database (a user sees only their own data), staff access only when needed, separate storage of keys, logging of access to service data.
7.2. No system is fully secure. If a breach creates a risk to your rights, we will notify the Personal Data Protection Committee of Thailand within 72 hours, and you without delay when the risk is high.
8. Your rights
You may: access your data and get a copy; have it corrected; have it deleted or anonymised; restrict processing; object to processing; receive your data in a machine-readable form; withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect processing before withdrawal); and complain to the Personal Data Protection Committee of Thailand.
8.1. To use your rights write to yourlawer.thai@gmail.com from your account e-mail, or use "Delete your account" in the site footer. We reply within 30 days.
8.2. If you withdraw consent, some functions (storing Cases, reminders, AI answers) may become unavailable.
9. AI and accuracy
9.1. Answers are produced by an AI model from materials on Thai law. Decisions with legal effect on you are not made automatically: an answer is informational, and you can contact the site's lawyer.
10. Changes
10.1. We may change this Policy. The new edition is published on this page with a new date; for material changes you will be asked to accept it again.
10.2. The governing law is the law of the Kingdom of Thailand.
